The Boulder patch carries a wide variety of weathered Basalt Boulders direct from the quarry. These boulders are sold by the pound or by the truckload.
Basalt Boulders are sent down from our various quarry locations in the Squamish Basin of southwestern British Columbia. These naturally tumbled boulders are often chosen for their unique appearance and structural integrity and many have the often sought after mosses and lichens. Millions of years of natural tumbling and aging provide a unique patina to the stone which is unlike many other Basalt varieties of the world. British Columbia's rugged terrain provide a natural aging process that gives the end product a great deal of character and rugged good looks.

While most Basalt Boulders are sorted by Half Man, One Man, Two Man, Three Man sizing, these guidelines are established by how many men can move the Boulders into position. While these are only guidelines they are open for interpretation and therefore we have devised a Basalt Boulder Sizing Guide which clarifies size and weight in a more defined way. We have sorted the Boulders by six size ranges which feature various weight ranges that make it a little clearer for our customers to grasp sizing and weight versus the old way of grading sizes of boulders.
While most of our Basalt Boulders are primarily grey in colour, we also feature Brohm Boulders which come direct from our Brohm quarry and feature more browns, taupes and reddish tones thus making it an even more unique landscape and building stone selection. Being that Basalt is columnar in shape, we also feature cubey Basalt Boulders which are ideal for larger scale retaining walls and slope stabilization.
A great deal of our Basalt products are processed into the various products we carry, including Basalt Stepping Stone or Flagstone, Natural Bottom Basalt Columns, Basalt Wallstone, Basalt Risers and Treads, Basalt Facing, Basalt Water Features or Gurglers and many other various building products.
